Description
The Associate Broker course is a 60-hour program designed to meet the criteria for getting a Maine Associate Broker real estate license. This twice-a-week, 60-hour, fun, and interactive class will cover the skills needed to take your practice to the next level, rounding out the knowledge and skills you achieved as a Sales Agent. Passing this class allows you to obtain your Associate Broker without any further testing or classes. An Associate Broker license is required to continue as a Real Estate Licensee after your two years as a Sales Agent.
This course has been traditionally taught live in a classroom setting. However, we now offer it over Zoom to make it more convenient for those all over Maine and beyond, a feature that many students are finding effective and efficient.
Negotiations and communications; Understanding Agency and non-Agency relationships; Land use issues; Property valuations; Financing; State and Federal laws; Contracts; Closings; and more!
The course is based on the book, Maine Real Estate Practice for Associate Brokers, by Charles “Kim” Coit.
